Mexican paradise, not for Mexican's
I recently read and a Mexican news paper that things are changing rapidily in the Mayan riviera and the biosphere of Siaan Kaan, that there is a lot of construction goin on and more nature is getting destroyed. I'm not surprisse, this is being happening for a long time in front of the eyes of everyone, included the polititians, which are the one that sale the land where nobody suposse to built, in reality Mexico is a country for sale you can do or buy pretty much anything that you want, corruption is part of our culture, always will be, sad isen't it?
The real paradise of Mexico the white sandy beaches and pristine areas are not for Mexicans are for the tourist that have money to corrupt the system, that is right they wil be always tourist, never a local as they want to call thenselves.
So next time you visit Mexico enjoy it, love it and have fun with it, but don't try to understand it, beacuse there is no common sense and logic in it.

Yucatan Wonderland
Visit Merida, the people there is always friendly ( the native's) helpful and happy, the city is clean, safe and has lots of cultural activities to do. During the day you can have small excursions to avoid the busy down town who hasn't change in 450 years. Places like Izamal, Celestun, Uxmal, Cenotes, caves, colonial city's, San Crisanto a small fishermen village where coconut production is still alive. There are over a 100 Mayan ruins in easy access for the visitor. At night time the city is very romantic with the soft orange lights in the colonial buildings giving the down town a unique touch. Or why not to visit one of the bazar's close to Paseo de Montejo where you can enjoy the Antojitos Regionales, the Yucatecan version of fast food in the traditional way. Paseo de Montejo is a small replica of Champs Elysses in Paris. The avenue is full with art of some kind always, from sculptures to paintings. There are a lot of out door cafe's and gourmet restaurants to enjoy a lovely evening. Merida is also one of the safeties city in Mexico and in the world. Regardless if you traveling alone, male or female, family or group, you will always feel a sensation of peace and security in the city. On your next trip visit Merida the capital of the Yucatan and the cultural capital of America.
